Jo Self
I welcome people of all genders and ethnicities and aim to offer culturally sensitive therapy through an intersectional lens. My practice is wheelchair accessible, LGBTQ+ aware and inclusive.
About me
My name is Jo (she/her). I spent the first 25 years of my working life building a
career in the media and creative industries. I was fortunate enough to meet and
work with a wide range of people from extremely varied backgrounds.
I am now in my fourth year of advanced clinical psychotherapy training.
I am interested in working with oppressed & marginalised groups and individuals
who have experienced severe anxiety and depression.
I offer an initial free consultation lasting 30 minutes, during which time we can
explore why you are interested in therapy and begin to understand what our time
together will be like. As we move forward we will meet for 50 minutes once a week,
on line or in person.
I have a set fee but also work on a sliding scale and can offer concessions
depending on your circumstances. We can discuss this in our initial consultation.
Qualifications
I am a member of the UK Association for Transactional Analysis (UKATA) and the
European Association for Transactional Analysis (EATA)
Appointments
I live in East London and have a consulting space in Leyton where I offer confidential
non judgemental counselling for individuals and couples.
